 Track Practice 6:30 pm at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King Street, Alexandria, VA.

The workout will be The workout will be 1 x mile, 2 x 800, 4 x 400, all with a 400 jog.

9/18/12 Tuesday Track Practice has been Cancelled

Hello NOVA Runners,

Due to the severe weather threat throughout the DC area that is supposed to last well into the evening, Tuesday Track has been CANCELLED this week.  We stuck it out through some rough heat this summer, but tornadoes and thunderstorms are not to be fooled with.  Please hit the treadmill instead of running outdoors and take care when driving if caught in a severe thunderstorm.

Air Force/Navy Half Marathon

Ty Gruszewski leads NOVA at the inaugural Air Force/Navy Half Marathon in 1:16, finishing 5th overall.   Jerry Doyle PRs by more than a minute in 1:17, and finishes 7th overall.

5th place at the Run Geek Run

Big thanks to Dave Wertz for not only helping us field a team, but playing a significant part in NOVA coming in 5th.  I hope to field bigger teams for these coming events:

Goblin Gallop 5k is next, followed by the Veterans Day 10k, and Jingle all the way 8k.  Please consider participating.

September 11, 2012 Track workout

Track Practice will be at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King Street, Alexandria, VA. Be sure to arrive early to warm-up and stretch properly before the workout.

The workout will be 4 x 800, 4 x 400, with a 400 jog after the 8s, and a 200 jog after the 4s.

Run Geek Run 8k

Hello NOVA Team,

For our first race of the year: The Run Geek Run 8k race (Sat. 9/15 West Potomac Park), members who want to participate with the team will need to use the team name, "NOVA RC" while registering.  We can  use this name for all team competitions going forward.  If you have already submitted your registration without putting in the team name and would like to be part of the team please contact Bob Koeppen at bdkoeppen@gmail.com.  You can also contact Bob for race day logistics (warmups, rides to the race, etc.). Online registration closes sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, so please do not wait.
